    SEN Teaching Assistant
    A new SEN school in West Molesey is opening it's doors in September 2024 and is currently looking for a number of Teaching Assistants who want to be part of their exciting journey

    The school is a specialist provision for pupils with ASD and associated needs, and will initially have just 4 year groups, providing education for pupils aged 11-15, growing each September until there are pupils from 4-18 years old.

    Class sizes are maximum 11 pupils. Both full-time and part time opportunities available.
    Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
    Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) for students
    Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN during lessons and activities
    Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
    Assisting with the assessment and monitoring of students' progress
    Minimum of GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
    Experience working with children or young people with SEN
    Understanding of special educational needs and different learning styles
    Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students
    Work in a school setting with regular classroom hours
    Potential for some outdoor activities or off-site visits

    07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
