Social Media/Marketing Assistant - part time position - 20 hours a week - will consider an Intern or Apprentice

Job Purpose:


To work on behalf of the different businesses for our company Directors including Saffron Catering, Saffron Sandwich Vans, Posh Pigs Hog Roasts, Evergreen Day Nursery, Willow Tree Caravan Holidays.

To create engaging social media content for each company's online presence, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out new social media avenues and ways of connecting with audiences.


Overall Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supporting colleagues in creating marketing plans, devising and executing social media campaigns from concept to delivery.
  • Managing all company social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and any other relevant platforms ensuring that all content is in line with brand values for each company
  • Create new and interactive ideas, stories, pictures and videos for each company
  • Creation of rich video content for both learning and marketing purposes including interactive options to involve clients in discussions etc increasing brand awareness
  • Creation of client testimonials to share on social media
  • Driving social media channels and online customer engagement, including scheduled content to create a consistent stream of content for each company
  • Consider any new potential options for platforms
  • Analysing and interpreting online activity, producing performance reports with actionable insights
  • Supporting business development team in both marketing research and direct client engagement activity
  • Developing content for website blogs
  • Liaise with external PPC and creative agencies
  • Contribution to development of overall marketing strategy
  • Assisting in social media management with large projects, events, and community management, plus open days and wedding fayres etc.
  • Working with the administration team to coordinate ad campaigns with social media strategy
  • Managing social media communications
  • To use experience to attend networking events and promote Saffron and venues via that channel of advertising
  • To work closely with the management and administration team to take advice, build the role and adapt into our team
  • Define our Saffron company brand throughout events, act as an ambassador for Saffron
  • To be aware of how competitors are using their social media channels, their products, facilities, rates & policies etc. and present back to the team
  • To work in other departments to assist in business delivery
  • To work with the Administration team in general day to day business, and assist team members in their daily activities
  • To work as part of a diverse team and actively take part in team meetings
  • Must be a strong team player
