    Locality Expert

    We're looking for a Locality Expert to join our fast-paced and exciting team. The successful candidate will act as a locality expert for assigned regions and provide specialist knowledge of local conditions, policies and country wide changes, to inform map development and real world changes.

    The team sits within our Intuitive Operations and Automation practice. This practice helps our clients to reimagine and create digital processes that drive performance, but also close the process gaps between customers, suppliers and partners with automation, insight and process platforms.

    What will you be doing?

    · Conducting market research around trends in the automotive industry including speed limits, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), signs and road types

    · Support the policy team on policy creation for assigned regions and provide local knowledge and context

    · Create quality metrics and conduct in-country drives to provide feedback and data to client working groups

    · Act as the owner for region for queries from any other team, as well as basemap features

    · Curate region-specific implicit/statutory speed limits and rules (e.g. arterials in a town should be 20mph vs a county-wide rule of 30mph)

    · Research news articles and notices from government/local councils/highway authorities where there are scheduled maintenance and repairs

    · Identifying edge cases (e.g. unique sign variations, urban area polygon logic etc.) that may be missed and similarly identifying gaps in algorithms

    · Providing local knowledge insight to prioritize issues (e.g. which missing signs are causing the most problems for road users)

    · Supporting proactive outreach with government and highway authorities to understand upcoming changes, systematic issues with our data etc.

    · Support the partnerships and other outreach teams with local knowledge

    · Consult on all sign types to provide local context/understanding and interpretations of various road signs

    · Assist with quality assurance and country certification processes to ensure that the highest quality level is reached and maintained

    Who are we looking for?

    · Experience in the automotive industry or urban planning (traffics, transit, signals, signages etc.)

    · Understanding of market research methodologies and techniques

    · Basic understanding of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS)

    · Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    · Confidence working independently or as part of a wider team

    · Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    · Excellent time management and organization skills

    · Strong analytical, excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
