The role
This role requires some previous experience in a commercial Supply Chain environment. You will be working within a small team responsible for the end-to-end Supply Chain administration and customer fulfilment functions.

A hands-on approach will be required to support the various sectors of operation. You will have a positive attitude and a desire to see projects through to the end. You will be flexible and adaptable in approach to work with the ability to multi-task.


You should be meticulous and accurate with excellent attention to detail - must be a good communicator, be highly organised with the ability to prioritise, You must be a quick learner, process driven, team player.


Key responsibilities:


  • Placing purchase orders in accordance with MRP requirements or other business needs to ensure ontime delivery of Advanced Sensing products
  • Rescheduling delivery dates with suppliers and actioning changes
  • Expediting material deliveries
  • Ensure leadtime data within the MRP system is up to date and valuable for the Supply Chain team
  • Run process to receive goods
  • Reconcile purchase order acknowledgements with details on all orders placed
  • Reporting material availability and departmental performance to senior management
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure all business requirements are passed on to suppliers
  • Continually develop processes and systems to help overall improvement of department performance

Person Specification:


  • Supply Chain or Material Control related experience
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP or Stock Control systems.
  • Experience of working in a continuous improvement/development focused organisation
  • Some experience in arranging shipping/couriers would be an advantage
  • Engineering or technical background would be an advantage
  • Able to develop and implement change
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills
