Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with a growing company based near Billingham on the position of a Finance and Payroll Assistant.


KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Processing and payment of monthly salaried staff across the group (currently 3-4 payrolls), for approx. 150 employees, including starters and leavers.

Dealing with employee enquiries and advising both employees and management on all aspects of payroll

Set up new starters, removal of leavers, pay calculations, HMRC reporting, sick pay and holiday recording, pay deductions

Administer and be key contact for the Company pension scheme.

Assist with the co-ordination of employee benefits as required

Issue employment contracts for all new starters, including casual workers Administer the employee expenses as per the policy.

Assist in producing variance analysis for staffing costs against budgets and forecasts

Assist in the transactional ledgers of all companies, such as daily cash banking, bank reconciliations, process purchase invoices, raise purchase orders, raise sales and/or recharge invoices


KEY TASKS
Delivery of monthly payrolls — inputting and maintaining accurate and confidential payroll information

Complete year end close payroll procedures and payroll reporting.

Process payroll related bank payments via banking platform (including PAYE settlements, faster payments)


Process all payroll journals, ensuring costs have been accurately reflected in the P&L account Own monthly reconciliation process of the payroll related balance sheet accounts (payroll control, pension, payroll taxes etc), ensuring accurate balance sheet positions as part of month end close process.

Resolve all reconciling items in a timely manner

Ensure full compliance with any payroll and HR regulations and ensure procedures are kept up to date.

Raise purchase orders, process purchase invoices, run payment runs.

Assist as back up for daily cash banking and bank reconciliations To assist in the updating of the staff employment handbook

Maintain and set up users on the clocking on system

Up to £28,000.00 per year
