    The role – what is involved?

    As associate director/director of project management you will jointly lead the service provision from our Belfast office. This person will be responsible for directing financial, operational, client and people-related objectives, in collaboration with the other directors in the office and across the region. The role encompasses leading, developing and monitoring the delivery of the business plan and ensuring services are delivered on time, to budget and with exceptional quality.

    Responsibilities include:

  • Taking full P&L responsibility, monitoring and controlling financial performance
  • Identifying and delivering business expansion opportunities, ensuring that they meet the required financial targets and returns.
  • Working with the other directors in the region to establish a marketing plan which complements the business strategy and maximises sector growth where applicable.
  • Bringing new and repeat business to the company from a good network of client and business contacts.
  • Converting work-winning opportunities within the office into successful and profitable contracts
  • Creating a bid strategy and working with key resources to identify, capture and develop win themes.
  • Acting as senior account director for selected key client accounts while contributing proactively to the sharing of clients, ensuring service delivery is undertaken by the individuals most practically equipped to service the client.
  • Creating a cross-selling culture, ensuring all staff understand the full portfolio of our business offering.
  • Initiating and ensuring implementation of corrective action where performance deviates from plan
  • Directing all staff within the scope of line management on timely billings, cash collection to improve lock-up, and taking action to ensure that long-term debts are recovered.
  • What skills and attributes are we looking for:

  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Association of Project Managers, Chartered Institute of Building or Equivalent
  • Proven leadership with people development qualities
  • Ability to provide a clear vision and create a culture based on transparency, openness, and trust.
  • Demonstrable experience in business development in the Belfast local area with experience in the private sector of interest
  • A good network of business and client contacts with the ability to bring new and repeat business to the company.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing key account management plans.
  • Proven experience in discharging P/L accountabilities
