We operate over 7 million of warehousing space across 30+ locations in the UK. Our distribution network spans all corners of the country.

Our Wolverhampton site are now recruiting for a Booking Clerk on a fill time basis.


Salary:
£20,500 Per annum


Working hours:
Any 5 in 7 9:00 - 17:00


Job Description:

The purpose of a
Booking Clerk is to arrange all outbound delivery bookings on behalf of our clients

Key Duties of a Booking Clerk**:

  • Arrange booking with our client's receiving customer
  • Organise Transport with hauliers
- using agreed rate cards to control cost

  • General administration
  • Update confirmed booking, transport & pricing information to our transport system
  • Produce Packing & label instruction sheets
  • Take outbound delivery information and enter it into packing instruction template.
  • Communicate professionally regarding any delivery issues, cancellations or delays to all concerned parties including:Client/Internal Team/Clients customers
  • Log any delivery issues, delays or failures to assist with monthly reporting to our client.
  • To adhere to relevant customer specific booking procedures
  • To make independent decisions around pricing, booking slot availability
  • Working collaboratively with the Operations Team both on Site and with Customer to achieve delivery.
  • To establish and maintain successful relationships with customers and transport provider

Qualifications:


  • The ability to display a high level of planning and organizational skills
  • Flexibility within the role to be able to cover other areas of the team.
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Able to manage their own time to achieve daily targets.
  • Must be a team player that is capable of working on their own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Data entry efficiency, with ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Have excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak periods during the year.
  • Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
  • The ability to display a high level of planning and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and deliver accurate information
