Position (CoW)Permanent position £60,000-£65,000 per annum
Search Recruitment Group LTD require a Clerk Of Works manager in West London.
Our client is a reputable developer who work in the Luxury Residential space with three major developments in London with plans for continued growth.
You will be joining their team and playing a key role in creating the most desirable places to live in the world.
The role would be reporting to the Associate Director, you will be overseeing that the quality of both materials & workmanship of the project are in accordance with design information detailed in the specifications and engineering drawings.
You will be a strong leader who has the ability to act impartially and independently when making decisions and judgement.
You will also require a high level of interfacing between internal departments and external agencies such as Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-Contractors, client agents and site staff.
Responsibilities of CoW role include, but are not limited to:- Review design information to ensure that the quality of requirements of the contract and documentation and recognise standards of work that must be met
- Set quality standards for the project (materials and workmanship), rejecting work where appropriate through onsite (and offsite) visits via raising a nonconformance
- Witness commissioning and testing, attend and provide feedback on mockup reviews to assist the project management team

Job skills & Knowledge (essential):
- Extensive work experience in the construction industry years)
- Proven track record working in construction management
- Must be able to demonstrate technical, engineering background
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Advanced knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Knowledge of forms of contract (eg NEC3, JCT, D&B)
- Excellent understanding of all facets of construction process
Job skills & knowledge (desirable):
- NEBOSH
- SMSTS
- Relevant Construction Skills Certificate card
Qualifications (desirable):
- BS degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture or related field.
- Membership of construction industry related professional body
- The institute of Clerk Of Works and construction inspectorate (ICWCI)
