    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    As a Newly Qualified Architect, Architectural Assistant or Architectural Technologist specialising in retail design, you will play a key role in the development and execution of architectural projects from concept to completion. Working as an integral member of our retail team, you will be responsible for producing detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation that adhere to industry standards and regulations.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop comprehensive technical specifications, schedules, and material selections in alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
    • Utilise industry-standard software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Sketchup to generate detailed plans and drawings that accurately reflect design intent and meet project specifications.
    • Evaluate design plans to identify potential risks and propose mitigating strategies to ensure safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with project teams to prepare and submit documents for statutory approvals, navigating regulatory processes and obtaining consent from relevant authorities.
    • Engage with clients, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and ensure project milestones are achieved within established timelines and budget constraints.
    • Offer professional advice and guidance to clients and construction teams, leveraging your expertise to address technical challenges and optimise project outcomes.
    • Collate and organise technical data and documentation to support project planning, implementation, and decision-making processes.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, building codes, and regulations to uphold compliance standards and ensure the delivery of high-quality architectural solutions.
    • Work collaboratively within a team environment, receiving instruction from senior team members and providing technical support.
    • Conduct thorough site surveys and assessments to gather essential data for project planning, identifying site-specific constraints and opportunities.
    • Participate in site meetings as required to monitor project progress, address technical queries, and facilitate coordination between stakeholders.
    • Undertake any additional tasks or responsibilities as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving project needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related field.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with a focus on retail projects.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software applications.
    • Strong knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and detailing.
    • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
