    SEN Teaching Assistant

    Position Overview:

    As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with a variety of SEN within a school setting.

    You will work closely with classroom teachers and special education professionals to create an inclusive and nurturing environment for students with diverse learning needs.


    Passion for Education:
    A genuine desire to support students with SEN and help them achieve their best.
    Level 2/3 SEN qualification or experience in working with students with SEN is a plus.

    Patience and Empathy:
    The ability to be patient, understanding, and empathetic towards the needs of students with SEN.

    Team Player:
    The capacity to work collaboratively with a team of educators and support staff.

    Support in the Classroom:
    Assist classroom teachers in delivering lessons and providing additional support to students with SEN.

    Individualised Assistance:
    Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to provide tailored support and help them access the curriculum.

    Personal Care:
    Provide care and assistance for students with physical or medical needs.

    Progress Monitoring:
    Help assess and track the progress of students, and report findings to the SEN coordinator or teacher.

    Sensory Support:
    Provide sensory support for students with sensory impairments.

    Emotional Support:
    Offer emotional support and a safe space for students with SEN to express themselves.

    Adaptation:
    Be adaptable and flexible to the ever-changing needs of students with SEN.
