    To support the delivery of the Gedu events calendar, ensuring all activity builds brand affinity and increases student engagement, support our values and wellbeing.

    Main Responsibilities
    Work with the Events Manager to deliver the events calendar for all Gedu brands and deliver agreed objectives.

    Ensure the timely and professional delivery of the event schedule which includes headline events such as open days, Christmas parties, graduations, and Conferences along with a range of other events such as Exhibitions, Meet the Dean, Career fairs and student related events.

    Manage all aspects of the logistics of setting up and delivering events, including publicity, venue hire, invitations and event registration, audio-visual resources, printed collateral and marketing materials, Merchandise, catering and refreshments.

    Collaborate with IT, student & Staff engagement, procurement, facilities, and other key internal departments to ensure smooth running of meetings and events.

    Source and arrange with catering companies to provide refreshments for meetings and Events.
    Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders (internal and external) producing briefing materials and updates as required.
    Act as the first point of contact for all enquiries relating to the events.
    Monitoring cost to ensure all activity is delivered within approved budgets.

    Attend events and assist with set up, registration of guests and provide support to the Event Manager on event days.

    Evaluation of events including data and feedback collation, analysis, and reporting.
    Generate ideas for innovative methods of event delivery, including brainstorm/creative ideas and optimising event attendance.
    Coordinate post-event feedback reports, event write ups and internal debriefs.
    Ensure all invoices and POs have been processed for suppliers.

    Other Duties

    Occasional work may be required at evenings or weekends, for example to deliver events at all campuses.

    To undertake staff development appropriate to the post as may be identified and required from time to time, and in accordance with Gedu Staff Development Programme.

    To observe and implement health and safety responsibilities as specified within Gedu Health and Safety Policy.

    To demonstrate professionalism in the role as a representative of Gedu, incorporating Gedu core values in the delivery of duties.

    To observe equality and diversity practices and procedures and promote equality of opportunity at all times.
    To observe and adhere to all Gedu policies relevant to the role.
    To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be requested.
    Requirements


    We are looking for a motivated individual with demonstrable experience in meeting and event planning, promotion, and management, from concept through to execution.

    A degree in a communication related subject would be useful.
    Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally.
    Experience of managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
    Experience of sourcing external venues and suppliers for events.
    Experience of event marketing communications and collateral production.
    Budgeting, planning, organisational and project management skills to prioritise and manage workload to tight deadlines, with minimum supervision.
    Immaculate attention to detail.
    Understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector and student recruitment is desirable but not essential.
