Teaching Assistant needed urgently at a mixed comprehensive Secondary school in South London.

The school is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis. Applicants must be dynamic and enthusiastic.

Work pattern for this Teaching Assistant role will be 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Job responsibilities for this Teaching Assistant post will involve supervising and providing support for students in class and on a 1:1 basis, assisting class teachers in the development of resources, schemes of work and strategies, as well as recordingpupil progress.

This would be a great role for an English Graduate or Teaching Assistant looking to actively support Year 10 and 11 pupils in English.

Nature of the work would involve spending 60% of working with small groups of pupils, carrying out prep sessions for their English lessons.

The other 40% would involve in class support.

In terms of qualifications and experience, the school is seeking a Teaching Assistant who is educated to at least degree level, has knowledge of working with young people with challenging behaviours, experience of supporting young people from disadvantagedbackgrounds and a solid understanding of proper Safeguarding practices in a school environment.
