    Position Overview:

    At Saab, we are constantly looking ahead and pushing boundaries on what ́s considered technically possible. Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated Integration and Verification Lead to establish and grow an integration and verification capability for our radar and sensors activities at our Fareham office.

    Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, which is the newest radar in Saab's portfolio - a software defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post-delivery, as well as an established production line. As the Integration and Verification Lead you will lead the relationship with both our Production Team and our Development Team to ensure that products are configured and operating correctly ahead of delivery to end users. An important factor of the role is providing feedback to the Development Team to recommend modifications to improve performance, to ensure a robust product that fulfils our customer's needs.

    You will also lead the relationship with Project Management to set expectations and meet deadlines. Your role includes leading the analysis of requirements, developing design verification tests and performing formal verification and acceptance testing, which may be witnessed by customers. Additionally, you may also be required to assist service activities at our customer sites.

    Whilst the role is based in Fareham it is essential that a close working relationship is maintained with the Integration and Verification Team in Gothenburg.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The Integration and Verification Team Lead is responsible for the integration and verification of product, working seamlessly with Production to maintain production delivery targets.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Design, commission and maintain the Systems Lab
    • Design, commission and maintain the external Systems Test Range and associated equipment
    • Lead the team to integrate and verify major product sub-systems
    • Lead the team to integrate and verify new build product complete systems
    • Lead the team to integrate and verify product updates
    • Support customer equipment fault diagnosis and recovery

    Required Skills:

    • As a person you are positive, social, result oriented and a team player with a background in test and measurement or systems test and integration (10 years minimum)
    • Experience of G1X in considered essential (3 years minimum)
    • Be familiar with programming and use of standard test and measurement equipment used in either a communications, radar or electronic warfare systems environment
    • Enjoy working and developing in a team
    • Like cooperating with others but are capable of working individually as well
    • Good technical communication skills, confident in writing and reviewing formal technical documentation.
    • Very good command of written and verbal English, ability to communicate efficiently with international colleagues from various engineering and non-engineering functions. Self-motivated to seek answers when information is limited and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
    • Have a Bachelors degree or equivalent
    • During your employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret and therefore you must have a UK or Swedish citizenship
