• Location: Corby (NN17)
• Salary: £36,779 (including 15% shift allowance, rising to £37,586 following successful completion of probationary period.)
• Overtime pay at x1.5 for Monday to Saturday and x2 for Sunday shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes, specifically the Doosan Puma 2-axis CNC lathes with Fanuc control.
• Undertake programming and re-profiling of tool steel rolls used in tube manufacturing.
• Assist with other general machining activities within the department.

What you will need

To be considered for the role of Machinist, you should have:

• Completed a relevant recognized apprenticeship or have demonstrable competence through experience.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualifications, or demonstrate competence through experience.
• Experience in setting and operating CNC lathes is essential.
• Proficiency in CNC programming, including program understanding and editing. Fanuc experience is preferable, but training can be provided.
• Knowledge of manual operation of lathes, milling machines, and general workshop machinery is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and standards accurately.
• Competence in using measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Capability to perform manual tasks weighing up to 25kg.
• A valid driving license is required.
