Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer

Role:

Join the Information Security team as a Cyber Security Engineer based in London or Birmingham. In this role, you will be instrumental in deploying, managing, and maintaining security tooling, ensuring the firm's infrastructure remains secure against evolving cyber threats. Responsibilities:

Procure, commission, administer, and decommission Security Operations tooling, supporting IT teams.

Maintain appropriate documentation for Security Operations tooling, ensuring accuracy and relevance.

Identify and assess the need for updating or upgrading security tooling, collaborating with Security Architects.

Participate in Change Management processes and engage with Security Service Providers for accurate and timely work.

Follow up on investigations internally and apply recommended actions as necessary.

Skills/Must Have:

3 to 5 years of information security or cyber security experience preferred.

Working knowledge of firewalls, IPS/IDS, gateways, OSI model, network security, cloud security, and zero trust principles.

Cloud experience, particularly with MS Azure, AWS, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.

Experience in implementing security controls such as NIST, CSA, HIPAA, PCI, etc.

Familiarity with security tools like WAF, IPS/IDS and SIEM

Salary:

£70,000 - £85,000 base salary per annum
