Description

Emanuel Whittaker Limited has been operating since 1837.

We provide construction, regeneration and refurbishment projects to a variety of local authorities and social landlords across the North West.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Yard Foreman.

To work under the instruction of our Yard Manager to undertake the following tasks;

Off load deliveries from suppliers
Picking and sorting materials into plot packs
Stock management
Keeping the workshop and yard clean and tidy
Managing the segregation of waste brought back to the yard from sites
Carrying out van delivery and collections from sites
Keep yard vehicles clean, tidy and maintained

The applicant will need;

To be physically fit and have the ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
Have a FLT license for driving a fork lift. This would be advantageous but not required
A full clean manual driving license
Some knowledge of building materials
To have the ability to work well individually and as a team
To be reliable with a positive attitude
To be proficient in written English and basic mathematics
To have the ability to read and follow HS&E guidelines and instructions

Terms;
Hours Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm. Friday 8.00am - 3.30pm

Lunch 12.30pm - 1.00pm

39hour week

Rate £12.50/hour

Holidays 29 days' annum
