A super Classroom Assistant position has become available, working at a lively primary school in Central Birmingham.

** £400 - £450 per week

The Classroom Assistant Role:


As a Classroom Assistant at this school, you will primarily be providing 1:1 support for a pupil in lower Key Stage 2 with additional needs.

The pupil has ADHD and SEMH needs resulting in difficulties with emotional regulation, so you must be able to effectivelymanage behaviour and firmly set expectations.

You will provide behaviour intervention support, as well as assisting with learning support, including phonics, speech and language and numeracy.

As Classroom Assistant, you will also provide general support inthe classroom.

The Classroom Assistant:


For this Classroom Assistant role, you must hold a Level 3 Classroom Assistant qualification and have extensive experience working with SEN, SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.

It is important that you have worked with pupils in KS1 or KS2 with additionalneeds, and can demonstrate an effective knowledge of the curriculum.

You must have a dynamic personality and be confident with building a strong rapport with the children you support.
