    From £40,000 up £47,000 depending on experience (including shift premium) + potential bonus and fantastic benefits

    4 days on 4 days off shift pattern, days and nights

    We are now looking for Line Performance Engineers / Multi Skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to help deliver the maintenance strategy for our Purina factory in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, this factory is in its prime with heavy capital investment on new lines and new exciting equipment leading to new development opportunities

    A day in the life of a Line Performance Engineer...

    Here at Purina we are moving to a line centric approach to help create efficiencies with our production. This role is a key role for the factory; responsible for a defined set of production assets in terms of the engineering strategy to support in driving your area to world class performance levels in safety, quality, cost and service.

    Other key responsibilities:

    • To maintain the basic condition of the machines within their line and perform improvement activities, as well as repairing breakdowns
    • As required, to run machines within your line whilst always been proactive and looking for faults.
    • Driving a safe culture and eliminate safety risks
    • Ensuring that all products are manufactured according to quality standards
    • Empowering and inspiring people by supporting the line team and developing their capability.
    • Participate and support the Autonomous and Maintenance Working Groups to drive improvement through the implementation of following tools: inspections, abnormalities identification, centre lining, breakdown analysis, preventive and predictive maintenance.
    • Drive continuous excellence and continuous improvements in the key operational business processes throughout manufacturing,

    What will make you successful

    To be successful in this key role we expect you to ideally have experience working in a FMCG manufacturing maintenance environment maybe as a Technician, Shift Engineer or a Maintenance Engineer and have strong service orientation amongst internal stakeholders with lots of proactive initiative and passion for continuous improvement.

    Other key attributes we are looking for are:

    • Ideally educated to apprenticeship level NVQ 3 or hold a recognised engineering qualification.
    • Demonstrate mechanical comprehension & food safety/Food handling awareness.
    • Ability to understand and adhere to strict hygiene rules.
    • Experience in Planned Preventative asset Maintenance.
    • Experience in Root Cause Analysis tools/problem solving methodology.
    • Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools including TPM.
    • Demonstrates understanding of Continuous Improvement and cost awareness.
    • Data analysis and understanding of performance indicators.
    • Demonstrate that you are a real team player.
