- Developing, planning and implementing strategies that align with business goals to promote growth whilst identifying and mitigating risks
- Driving new product pricing and go to market strategies
- Conducting market research and analysis to inform business plans on commercial opportunities and understand future threats.
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders to understand the needs of current customers and devise and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Collaborating with departments across the company (marketing, sales, product, finance etc.) to deliver the commercial results.
- Assisting in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring.
- Defining, implementing, and monitoring KPIs so as to monitor the performance of commercial activities and reporting back to the senior management team.
- Proven experience and evidence of outstanding results in a similar senior commercial leadership role
- Evidence of working in hyper growth / scaleup in the data / tech / SaaS industries
- Experience in launching new products and entering new markets (experience in the US would be especially beneficial)
- A blend of commercial awareness, analytical and creative thinking, partnered with a strategic mindset
- A deep understanding of business operations, finances, sales and marketing tactics and market conditions.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to enable them to work collaboratively with key shareholders, both within the business and externally.
- Experience in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies that align with the corporate aims of the business.
- In-depth understanding of the mobility / travel sector, market research methods and analysis.
- Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, organisational and leadership ability to guide the business to achieve business goals.
- Excellent leadership, management, and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills

About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Commercial and Strategy Director to join our Group leadership team. Reporting to the Group Chief Executive, the successful candidate will play a key role in driving the commercial, high growth strategy and in developing and executing plans to grow the business exponentially.
The role will oversee all aspects of the Groups commercial functions, including solution selling / business development, customer success, marketing and consultancy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial plans, identifying growth opportunities, developing, and implementing go-to-market strategies and managing the Executive sponsorship of key clients and partner relationships.
You will possess excellent strategic thinking, strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to bring teams together to deliver results. Along with P&L management experience, you will ideally have an understanding of the global mobility / business travel and payroll industries and have been involved in the journey of a hyper scale tech / SaaS business.
