    We are looking for highly skilled and motivated educational psychologists who are passionate about improving life chances for all, with a particular focus on those young people who are most vulnerable and at risk of poor outcomes.

    As an Educational Psychologist in Fife, you will join a dynamic Educational Psychology Service that offers a comprehensive induction and supervision programme.

    There is a strong commitment to supporting the professional development of all staff and the service is currently involved in a wide range of research and development opportunities across the Education Directorate and with multi-agency partners.

    A refresh of Fife Council's ASL Strategy, building on the recommendations in the national ASL Review: All our Children and All Their Potential.

    A Fife-wide roll-out of the Neurodevelopmental Pathway, an innovative new approach to multi-agency assessment, intervention, staff training and parental support for young people who may have neurodevelopmental differences.

    Our 'Learning with Care' project, in partnership with Social Work colleagues, committing to improve educational experiences and outcomes for Care Experienced young people.

    Supporting our schools to integrate the national Counselling in Schools initiative into an integrated support system for all young people who would benefit from support for their emotional wellbeing.

    We have support systems for new entrants to the profession, several experienced supervisors on the BPS Register of Supervisors and staff familiar with the Qualification in Educational Psychology (QEP), British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) processes, enabling us to support psychologists to benefit from high quality professional supervision.

    We have a clear identity and purpose as a service, a leadership style characterised by the promotion of professional autonomy within a culture of collective responsibility, as outlined in How We Work .

    We operate a blended approach to work within FCEPS which incorporates office working, fieldwork and home working as part of your working week.

    Our core team working day is a Tuesday where our staff are office based to ensure team time and internal networking opportunities are built into our work.

    Recent and relevant experience of Educational Psychology practice.

    Honours Degree in Psychology, conferring basis for graduate membership of the BPS and a postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology.

    You are required to be fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or to be on track to complete your qualification in Educational Psychology, which will ensure you are eligible to register with the HCPC; We are currently shaping our future workstyles however, in light of current advice, we are introducing blended home/office working that will include office access days each week with homeworking for the remainder of your working time.
