The opportunity:

This role is multifaceted, with a core focus on growing an existing Tableau reporting environment.

We are here to help model and deliver self-service data architecture and reporting across several tools and systems with exposure to growth in learning opportunitiesin streams such as Data Engineering, Product Management and Web Development & Analytics.

The Analytics team sits within a skilled technology organization with an ethos for personal responsibility rewarded with flexibility and dynamism with recognition forhigh quality work at the centre of what we do.


Our stakeholders are internal departments such as Marketing, Product Management, Sales/Customer Service and Executive with an ethos for owning our data and delivering lasting business intelligence solutions to internal teams.

These teams are flexible andunderstanding of the data development process, with many data-savvy advocates to develop working relationships with.

As such you'll have the opportunity to learn about the full stack of enterprise technology in tandem with product development as well as andsales/marketing processes utilized by a successful internet business.


You:


We are looking for a top-class analyst with a strong Tableau and SQL background to support the continued rollout of our data tools and assist in the gradual upskilling of our operational teams via support in access and development to self-service data sourcesand business intelligence/analytical transformation.

We expect you to be able to own and help contribute to the strategy around our reporting systems.


What you'll be doing:


  • Be responsible for growing the usage of Tableau reporting environment by assisting end users with troubleshooting, building, and adapting business intelligence requirements
  • Structure business problems and recommend visualization solutions via a suite of different reporting tools
  • Support advanced Tableau functionality (parameters, actions, tooltip modifications, API, etc.) to create analytical dashboards
  • Own and advocate for the sales reporting suite supporting initiatives to increase engagement with clients via data and reporting tools and business intelligence
  • Develop a strong understanding of business requirements; working with business users / business analysts to define technical and process requirements
  • Build effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders across multiple global teams, providing support and assistance in requirements gathering and ongoing support for the existing reporting suite
  • Support the product and sales managers decisions with adhoc analysis and strategic initiatives requiring unique or bespoke analysis
  • Follow product releases and be an advocate for continuous improvement in data collection and origination through to reporting layers
  • Provide upstream feedback to data engineers and product managers on modelling and architecture decisions
  • Build best in class Tableau workbooks to be as automated with as little ongoing maintenance as possible
  • Learn our database structure and assist with access to information as well as push forward with goals to grow our selfservice data approach enabling access across multiple internal teams

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience in analytics roles in digital or website companies focusing on product, sales & customer service and digital marketing analytics
  • Strong background in structural business intelligence reporting delivery using SQL
  • Strong skill competencies in Tableau workbook building and integration configuration, Google Analytics and relational Databases (Redshift, SQL Server, BigQuery, etc)
  • Ability to administrate Tableau environment including managing user access, managing refresh schedules and intimately understanding and championing the pipelines that generate these data
  • Understand the value of selfservice data systems, assisting in the development of new insights from data taxonomy and crosssystem data modelling
  • Knowledge of hosted internet businesses and a wholistic understanding of the data sources relevant to this type of business
  • Knowledge of the Google Marketing Stack and its integrations (Data Studio, Tag Manager, Optimize, Analytics) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills. You are logical, articulate, and make yourself available to others work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders who will depend on you for technical support
  • Great commercial awareness. You think constantly about driving business results and use this to help prioritize your work
  • Willingness to take responsibility for your systems and work; constantly be looking for ways to improve the value that these systems add to the business
  • Willingness to listen and proactively engage end users for feedback
