Description
STEM Recruitment solutions are looking for 3 new team members to join our client's team in Sunderland. We're looking for talented individuals to fill the role of Machine Operator in our cutting-edge manufacturing facility.


Job Title:
Machine Operator


Responsibilities:


  • Operate stateoftheart Converting machinery including waxer, slitter, and laminator.
  • Handle and maneuver reels with precision, utilizing lifting and handling equipment as needed.
  • Load parent reels onto the unwind unit and unload finished goods from the rewind section.
  • Monitor work in progress reels throughout production to ensure quality and meet customer specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks including glue weights, wax weights, and slitting tolerances.
  • Quarantine suspect or poorquality products and complete necessary documentation.
  • Perform weekly machine safety checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct weekly cleaning and inspection checks to uphold cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Input production data accurately into the work station PC.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in machine operation and manufacturing are not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Good timekeeping and attendance is essential

Working a rotation of 4 on 4 off on a day and night shift pattern : 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am.

Pay:
£14.02 per hour
