Profession , , Grade Contract Type Hours You need to or to save a job. This is an exciting Specialty Doctor community post in old age psychiatry. The post holder will cover the North Cluster within Salford. This covers predominantly Worsley, Walkden and Little Hulton. The base would be in Swinton, and they will be supervised by Dr M Javeed.
The post holder will liaise with the other medical colleagues within the Salford area and support the community team with clinical activity that covers meetings, CPAs, professionals' meetings, and other Mental Health Act related activity.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will review patients presenting to MATs clinics and complete home visits for MATS and CMHT patients, expected to Diagnose and formulate management plans with supervision as required, work in partnership with local GP, work in a collaborative way with multidisciplinary teams including external partners, assessment and management of risk including of vulnerability, suicide risk, risks to health and safety and risk of harm to others.
The post holder will be expected to be a Section 12 Approved clinician. We will support the post holder to obtain S12 or AC approval if this is required.
The post holder will be professionally accountable to their clinical supervisor and the Lead Consultant (Dr M Javeed) and operationally accountable to Mr James Logue who is the Head of Operations.
