    MIG Fabricator - Heckmondwike

    We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MIG Fabricator to join our client in Heckmondwike. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading manufacturing company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products.

    As a MIG Fabricator, you will play a vital role in the production process, ensuring the timely completion of projects to meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, selecting appropriate materials, and operating MIG welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal components.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal components.
    • Read and interpret engineering drawings to carry out fabrication work.
    • Monitor and adjust welding parameters to achieve desired results.
    • Select appropriate materials and consumables for each project.
    • Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications.
    • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Previous experience as a MIG Fabricator in a manufacturing setting
    • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications
    • Proficient in MIG welding techniques and equipment operation
    • Ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet production targets.
    • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
    • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
    • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols within a workshop environment

    We offer a competitive salary of up to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience.

    This is a full-time role, offering Monday to Thursday working hours of 07:30-16:00, and Friday working hours of 07:30-14:45.
