    Help us make a difference as a Multi Skilled Operative at our Biffa Green Energy facility in Hull.

    This role will be a 4 on 4 off shift pattern which includes day & nights.

    Hourly rate: £ (on shift).

    A quick look at the role.

    Responsible for operating Mobile Plant and supporting plant processing operations within a modern technology processing facility that turns waste into a sustainable fuel.

    The required candidates will have experience operating mobile plant/ fixed plant, working within a manufacturing/ processing type environment.

    The Biffa division you'll be supporting.

    Biffa Green Energy is part of our Resources & Energy division that aims to produce solid recovered fuel pellets from non-recyclable household waste. Pellets are used as a coal substitution in heavy industry offering carbon emission savings. This is a great opportunity to work in a growing sustainable industry.

  • Organising goods inwards and outwards site transport movements
  • Operating mobile plant including shovel loaders, FLT's and skid steers. This includes daily checks, ensuring plant is safe, clean and maintained
  • Loading/ unloading of vehicles
  • Monitor quality of input and output materials
  • Support plant operations and pellet production
  • Carry out site housekeeping activities.

    • Requirements

  • Attitude for compliance and ability to work as a team and on own initiative.
  • Effective verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and able to assess issues and recommend solutions.

    • Desirable:

  • Previous experience operating Mobile Plant (Biffa Training provided)
  • Experience of working with a factory/ processing facility.
