Group Management Accountant
Key responsibilities
Assist the team with delivery of Internal based reporting activities:

  • Consolidated monthly management accounts and associated materials
  • Annual budget, threeyear plan and any inyear reforecast
  • Monitoring of KPIs and reporting on drivers of change
  • Lender and other external stakeholder material
  • Ad hoc analysis as required to support strategic objectives of the CFO
  • Modelling financial impact of group wide projects
  • Materials for FLT
  • Support of firm wide M&A and other Corporate Finance activity
  • Support for financial accounting and external reporting activities
  • Establish strong links with divisional finance teams
  • Support group wide change initiatives as required
  • Explore opportunities to deliver using outsourcing and digital transformation to increase offering
  • Support and collegiate responsibility for tax, corporate finance and treasury
Key accountabilities (what you are measured on)

  • Effective delivery of monthly management accounts and other reporting (lender presentations)
  • Timely and effective delivery of the annual budget and any reforecast and Medium Term Plan as required
  • Development of improved monitoring and reporting on performance management
  • Effective delivery of ad hoc responsibilities
Key competencies (knowledge, experience and abilities)

  • Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS and relevant UK law
  • Experience with reporting systems (OneStream and Unit4 GL knowledge desirable)
  • Strong organisational and communication skills and ownership of outputs and deliverables
  • Advanced MS Excel for data manipulation and analysis
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a constantly evolving business environment and Group structure
  • Ability to work under pressure with a solutions orientated approach
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to mentor and coach team members
Professional qualifications

  • Big 4 experience will be ideal
  • University graduate 2:1 or higher
