Howarth Morris are currently looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner position for a well-known organisation in Preston.
The Role

The role is a key part of the Senior Leadership Team and FP&A Business Partnering Team and covers a blended portfolio of Budget Holders in providing financial support, budget setting, strategic planning and review and operational delivery.

The position willdraw on previous experience of providing partnering support and financial analysis to both finance and non-finance managers. To build trusted relationships to ensure corporate financial strategies are aligned with Budget Holder delivery plans.
Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Budget Holders to ensure that due consideration is given to the financial implications of all decisions including modelling of costs and scenario planning.
  • Appraisal of business cases, business change proposals and tender submissions from a finance perspective.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the Budget Holders adhere to Financial Regulations and recognises corporate financial strategy in their tactical and operational plans.
  • Representing corporate finance in meetings and ensuring that consistent messages are given and received.
  • Prepare and present information and analysis of the financial plans and performance of the budgets to the rest of the Senior Operational Management Team.
  • Undertake any additional duties commensurate with the role and grade as determined by the line manager.
  • Engage in external networks to ensure best practice.
  • Fully Qualified ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent.
  • Strong track record of management reporting of financial information.
  • Ability to provide financial analysis to both finance and nonfinance managers.
  • Experience of working in complex multidisciplinary environments.
  • Budget setting in a complex organisation.
  • Knowledge of using Financial Information Systems.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel with experience of designing and using complex spreadsheets and database tools to analyse financial data.
  • Able to influence, challenge and implement change.
  • Strong communicator with a good understanding of accounting principles; able to explain these so they can be easily understood by nonFinance Managers.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, especially when applied to data analysis.
