The Company


A high-quality logistics services company, provider to many of Britain's best-known brand names, is working with us to recruit a Compliance Manager - Transport to join their team.

The Role - Compliance Manager - Transport


Reporting to the Head of Transport the Compliance Manager - Transport will be responsible for the management of the Companies Operating Licenses, ensuring compliance with company directives and legislation.

They will oversee the day-to-day Health and Safetyrequirements of the organisation and ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.


Main responsibilities include:

  • Monitor driver performance in line with EU Regulations, WTD and 'O' licence undertakings.
  • Coordinate and ensure that driver briefings are undertaken.
  • Management of the incident process in conjunction with Road Safety Smart and reporting
  • Management of vehicle and trailers to ensure availability.
  • Participate in the recruitment and performance management of drivers.
  • Management of the Transport Compliance Administrator
  • To undertake disciplinary hearings as and when required.
  • Ensure all drivers are adequately trained, competent and have the required licence(s) and qualifications to operate relevant vehicles and equipment.
  • Conduct regular meetings with other members of the transport team to ensure compliance standards are adhered to by all areas including Freight & Network.
  • Work closely with the workshop, external maintenance providers and HGV Development Manager
The Hours

Monday - Friday

8 am - 6pm

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Supervisory or managerial role
  • Transport Manager CPC qualified.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH qualified.
  • Exceptional knowledge of compliance and WTD legislation
  • Experience as a signatory for an International Operating Licence
  • The ability to balance budgets.
  • Proficient in MS programmes
  • Excellence in managing and motivating a team.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Daily commutable to Grantham
