A great opportunity for an aspirational individual looking to advance their career, to join a large water sector client based at sites in Surrey.

This position would be best suited to someone who has both technical project knowledge and some experience inline management of a team, as this role will be overseeing a team of project engineers in the region, and acting as an interface between them and the programme manager.


On offer is a salary of up to £56,000p/a + a £4,500p/a car allowance, based on a 36 hour working week with hybrid work also being supported.

Hours are Monday to Friday and usually would be 7:30-15:30 or 8:00-16:00.

  • Managing the procurement process, framework suppliers and subcontractor supply chain involved in the delivery of sitebased construction activities
  • Being directly responsible for resource management and the training, development and support of directly managed engineers
  • Providing estimates, programming and planning support to the wider team
  • Ensuring delivery of all construction projects on the program with 100% compliance with client specifications
  • Managing the client's site requirements ensuring mínimal impact to the operational functionality of the site
  • Delivering all projects within legislative, CDM and regulatory requirements, including Health & Safety, Environmental and HR
  • Managing up to 12 staff, and all stakeholder key interfaces, internal and external
  • Required to travel to operational sites where project work is underway or being scoped

We're looking for you to:


  • Have proven experience in managing a team in person and remotely
  • Have gained experience within a commercial and technical role and preferably educated to degree/HND level in engineering and/or business administration, ideally with postqualification experience
  • Have an understanding of basic civil engineering works, contract law, planning, estimating and tendering
  • Have a proven track record of project management in an engineering environment with a good working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and ICA systems of work
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport


You may currently be in a project engineering or project management position, looking to move towards man management alongside technical responsibilities.
