    Are you an experienced Scottish Qualified Commercial Lawyer looking for an exciting new challenge? This could be the perfect opportunity for you

    Our client, a prestigious government legal directorate, is seeking a solicitor with a strong track record in Public Procurement and Commercial Law to join their team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on interesting and high-quality projects advising the Scottish Ministers on commercial matters.

    In addition to Public Procurement Law, the ideal candidate will also have experience in Subsidy Control/Competition Law and general Commercial matters. This role is perfect for a commercial lawyer who is keen to learn about or enhance their knowledge of public sector work.

    The team is collaborative, welcoming and supportive, and training will be provided as appropriate. The successful candidate will have the ability to manage information and interpret data to make sound decisions and provide clear and high-quality legal advice. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential, including the ability to build collaborative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and to communicate complex issues effectively.

    The company is based in Victoria Quay, Edinburgh, but this post is suitable for remote working, and location can be flexible. The team works largely from home at present with voluntary time in the office to suit.

    This is a full-time post, starting asap and for an expected minimum of 12 months, with the potential to extend for a further period to a maximum of 23 months.
