    Consilium Recruit are supporting a Coventry-based Multi-Sector Manufacturing business who are seeking a Quality Engineer on a permanent basis. The role is based onsite and will support product manufacturing for sectors including automotive and rail.

    Commutable from: Coventry, Nuneaton, Warwick, Rugby, Leicester, South Birmingham

    Salary: £ 37,000 - £ 41,000 p.a. + Attendance Bonus + Pension + Annual Leave

    The Role:

    • The Quality Engineer will work onsite Monday to Friday
    • Support all aspects of the quality cycle including production quality, new production introductions and any follow-up/warranty claims.
    • Will require effective working relationships with the manufacturing teams to ensure that the products meet the requirement technical and certification requirements for their respective sector sectors.
    • Support root cause rectification of issues including using root cause analysis tools, APQP and PPAP activity for production introductions ensuring best practice for engineering and manufacturing methods.
    • Collate data and support the active upkeep of the Quality Management System in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
    • Some travel will be required to predominantly UK based suppliers and customers in addition to a level of personal flexibility to support spikes and project requirements within the business.

    The Person:

    • The successful Quality Engineer will possess a proven background in manufacturing focused quality engineering ideally with exposure to pressed, welded, fabricated or machined products.
    • Sector experience from Automotive is highly desirable in addition to a full UK driving licence to enable travel to customer and supplier sites.
    • Be able to read and interpret technical drawings and support on product measurement where needed using manual and digital measurement tools.
    • You will be conversant with working to recognised quality standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 and have experience in creating and implementing PPAP documentation.
    • You will ideally hold a qualification in an engineering subject or similar discipline to a minimum of HNC (or equivalent)
    • Be able to use MS-Excel effectively in addition to modern production tracking systems.
