We have a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Director who is seeking a route and support to achieve a partner level role.

This role is working for a modern and established Chartered Accountants based in St Albans who employ around 70 staff, with 8 current partners.

This opportunity focuses on delivering tax planning and advice to entrepreneurial and owner managed businesses.

You will work closely with all partners, the corporate finance team and other senior team members throughout the firm to support their clients and transactions, give appropriate advice as well as identify corporate tax opportunities for clients.

The role willhave a high level of client contact.

Ideal applicants for this opening would be experienced Tax Directors looking to become a key player in the practice, with the ultimate ambition to become a partner in the future.

  • Company reorganisations and mergers
  • Company Share and Asset Sales
  • Tax clearance procedures
  • Enterprise Investment Schemes
  • Capital Gains Tax planning and advice especially Business Asset Disposal Relief
  • Group and corporate tax planning, including loan relationships
  • Share valuations
  • Share Schemes
  • Group planning
  • Property Taxes, including ATED, SDLT and Capital Allowances
  • Planning with Trusts
  • Inheritance tax and private client advisory

About You:

  • CTA qualified applicants ideal
  • Useful additional qualifications include ACA, ACCA, CA, STEP
  • Excellent technical skills in a wide range of taxation matters for OMB clients.
  • Extensive experience on a wide range of advisory and tax planning matters.
