    The Procurement Team is responsible for ensuring procurement delivers maximum value for money and achieves legislative compliance through the support and development of best practice which is intrinsically linked to the organisational priorities of the Office of the Police & Fire Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) , North Yorkshire Police (NYP) and North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (NYFRS).

    Support the provision of an efficient and effective purchasing service offering, which is linked to organisational priorities of the OPFCC, NYP and NYFRS and compliant with legislation, appropriate policies, standing orders, procedures, professional governance and procurement regulations.

    To undertake best-in-class purchasing practices in line with the Procurement Service Catalogue and associated KPIs to all service users.

    Provide general advice and direction to internal customers relating to the ordering of goods and services and ensure purchasing transactions are processed in a compliant manner in line with the Procurement Service catalogue and appropriate key performance indicators.

    Provide a first point of contact for both telephone enquiries and correspondence, responding promptly or, where appropriate, escalating throughout the Procurement structure tiers to deliver high quality customer service.

    Utilise electronic purchasing systems to raise requisitions, create and receipt purchase orders, maintain inventory systems and e-catalogues and ensure an effective purchasing service.

    Utilise procurement portals and produce basic spend reports and associated analysis, as required.
    Undertake end of month tasks to support the update of Procurement Registers and dashboards.
    Ability to analyse information and data to support decision making

    Willingness and ability to gain an understanding of procurement processes and responsibilities of the various levels within the enableNY Procurement team and the relationships with external organisations.
