Regional Learning & Development Pathway Partner
£38,995 plus 2.5k car allowance
Excelcare is a privately owned nursing and care home provider established for over 34 years. Our Cambridge region comprises 10 care homes. We have an excellent opportunity for a Regional Learning & Development Pathway Partner to join a strong and well-established Home Management and Regional Team to ensure our teams are suitably qualified to deliver excellent levels of nursing and care throughout the homes.
Purpose of the role
Reporting to the Regional Operations Director your role would be to implement and embed the Company's Quality Framework in relation to learning and development throughout all homes in the region. Ensure regulatory, mandatory and specialist training is delivered to all team members and guarantee continuous professional development for all our staff teams.
About the Regional Learning & Development Pathway Partner role
Work withing the Quality framework to deliver the identified key performance indicators for L & D.
Deliver foundation week training for new joiners
Monitor completion of the Care Certificate for team members who require this
Sourcing training as required on professional, clinical and care issues to help develop the teams' knowledge and practice
Work within Excelcare's identified career pathways
Ensure the learning Management system is updated with booked training
Ensure your own mandatory training and train the trainer/equivalent training is kept up to date
Maintain up to date knowledge of CQC regulations and standards as well as legislative requirements in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Support our overseas/sponsored team member development programmes in collaboration with the L& D Department based at our Support Office in Bromley, Kent.
Work with the L& D Department to deliver current training material and address any changes or updates that are required in line with legislation and regulation.
Recording and reporting as required by the L & D Department and for the Regional Operations Director
Attending meetings
Face to face training as well as observational supervisions to evidence direct learning into practice.
Training needs analysis and feedback
About you
Recognised trainer qualification such as PTLLS, AET, Teaching diploma/degree or above
A qualification in Health & Social Care is desirable
Able to work independently and part of a team
Clear report writing and objective setting.
Car owner and full driving licence to be able to travel across the services.
Excellent communicator with adaptable style for learners
Good organisational skills
Experience of managing L & D projects within a multi-site environment
Adept at writing reports and presenting complex information to a variety of audiences
Previous experience of maintaining and using a Learning Management System
Experience of observing and assessing skills and providing constructive feedback
Identifying trends and themes - gaps and areas for development.
