Academic Appointments, in partnership with a West Leeds Special school, who are looking for Primary Teaching assistants and SEND Support workers.


Who are we looking for?

  • Experience within Care/support work
  • Worked with Children/Adults
  • Education experience is desirable but not essential

What to Expect?

  • The school caters for pupils aged 2 to 19 years, on different specialist and mainstream sites supporting a wide range of moderate learning difficulties; severe learning difficulties; complex & multiple needs; Asperger's; Autism and Social, Emotional & Mental Health Needs.
  • Some students have physical, medial, speech & language, visual and hearing or sensory impairments.
  • The successful applicant will be supporting pupils with complex needs and autism so it is important that applicants have experience in a similar role and are comfortable working in this environment, the role will include some personal care.

What we need from you:


  • To be currently available for full time/Part time flexible employment.
  • 2x references.
  • A valid Enhanced DBS Certificate or be willing to obtain one (we can assist with this part).
  • Team teach Positive behaviour management certificate preferred but not essential.
Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience and payroll method
