Our colleagues in the
Environmental, Health and Safety team at the
Wrexham Plant are looking for an
EHS Advisor (12 month Secondment).


As we're putting our hearts and souls into the future of food, we'll be looking at you to support the EHS Practitioner in the development and implementation of health and safety strategies and programs in support of the required business and plant strategies.

HERE'S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Execute required programmes to ensure the site complies with EHS legislative requirements and Kellogg standards.
  • Manage regulatory compliance databases (e.g. lifting equipment, pressure systems) ensuring they are kept up to date
  • Engage with both internal and external key stakeholders to plan, coordinate and execute statutory inspections / examinations
  • Take ownership of any defects / faults identified with work equipment during statutory inspections / examinations and liaise with key stakeholders to plan and arrange required remedial actions
  • Deputise for the EHS Practitioner and attend plant meetings (DDS cycle, etc)
  • Key member of KWS EHS CoE to drive sustainable progression through each phase
  • Coordinate the closure of incident investigations ensuring full RCA, tracking associated corrective and preventative actions have been closed and appropriately recorded and signed off
  • Deputise for the EHS Practitioner in the collation of all information for EL/PL insurance claims for the site.
  • Execute the implementation and maintenance of the EHS management system in line with Kellogg policies and standards, and coordinate internal audits / inspections integral to site safety performance
  • Lead by example and work collaboratively with plant work teams to build EHS capabilities and proactively promote safe behaviours to influence a positive EHS culture

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent
  • Understanding / working knowledge of domestic EHS legislative requirements and best practice
  • Strategic thinking
  • Capability to "Lead from the front and not only Advise"
  • Effective and resilient 'hands on' communicator and motivator
  • Flexible, problem solving approach and strong team player
  • Experience at manufacturing plants
  • Experience with management systems and document control
  • Microsoft Office skills
