    Job Description

    We're currently looking to hire a ICOO Business Strategist to join Legal and General Investment Management (LGIM)

    The Business Strategist is a role that seeks to own and drive tactical & strategic initiatives across all these capabilities and for LGIM investments. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate effectively with senior leaders across the organisation. You'll have considerable and direct experience of leading and influencing engagement across multi-function organisations, owning, and driving transformation, managing money across asset classes and knowledge and experience of the end-to end investment lifecycle. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in all aspects of the business and to provide comprehensive input and challenge on the end to end.

    The ICOO function provides its services to all investment teams including Multi Asset, Index, LDI, Annuities, Buy and Maintain, Active Strategies (fixed income and equities) and Trading
  • Defining and implementing best practice in investment process across investment teams
  • Enhance operational efficiency through active engagement in re-design of the end-to-end
  • Identify and implement business requirements for Investment teams to support future business services and client opportunities
  • Lead engagement with technology and data partners to determine optimal system and technical solutions
  • Lead engagement with business partners across middle and back office to develop a robust and scalable end-to-end investment framework
  • Identify sources of operational risk in the investment process and determine appropriate solutions to mitigate these risks
    Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will be expected to have a great understanding and experience of the investment process
  • You'll have a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end investment lifecycle and industry best practices from an investment, operational and technology perspective
  • A deep appreciation of investment and operational risk,
  • Previous experience in technology migration and process design across asset classes and instruments would be nice
  • You'll have a proven track record in increasing scalability in an investment context
  • Ability to generate a positive outcome with stakeholders
  • Experience in managing and overseeing the delivery of investment related projects
  • Dynamic individual with outcome-oriented outlook
