This is a
temporary, band 8d NHS Deputy Programme Director role, with an immediate start date for a 6 month duration.

The role will be based
on-site 5 days a week.


NHS compliance including, but not limited to, a DBS, training modules, referencing, will be completed before the start date, so full co-operation with the vetting teams will be required.

Description

Deputy Programme Director:

  • Work closely with; Senior Responsible Owner, Programme Director and Director of Strategy, sharing responsibility for the overall success of the Expansion Programme.
  • Provide overall leadership and management of the capital elements of the Programme ensuring highest professional standards are maintained and schemes are delivered with due regard to public accountability.
  • Lead the development and execution of design activities following the RIBA process.
  • Develop and oversee the direction and delivery of all capital workstreams, driving forward delivery in terms of the approved scope, cost and time parameters.
  • Ensure mechanisms exist to asses revenue impacts should there be a change to the agreed parameter.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management and delivery of objectives.
  • The post holder is expected to be flexible in their approach and adaptable at short notice to the changing landscape and challenges that exist within a large complex programme.

Profile

Deputy Programme Director:

  • Previously worked on a major project (£100m+);
  • In the early stages of RIBA 0 and RIBA 1;
  • Specifically in an NHS Hospital
  • Estates & facilities programme management.
  • Able to manage large, complex capital programmes
  • Able to translate strategic objectives into deliverable operational plans
  • Proven ability of working and contributing at Board level
  • Development of successful business cases
