    The Media Activation team is responsible for providing thoughtful and exciting recommendations for Search, Social, Display, and Video, owning supplier relationships, and then executing those recommendations expertly.

    The Media Activation team leverages their mastery of each channel to make sure its recommendations are consistently excellent and innovative, and that in-channel performance and data integrity is maximized.

    The Account Director is responsible for overseeing the planning and buying of AV campaigns (TV, VOD and Cinema) on a client account.

    They have a strong understanding of the AV marketplace, and will be the primary point of contact for campaign planning, working with the Senior Associate Director to ensure that campaigns are fit for purpose, deliverable and innovative.

    The Media Activation Account Director fosters strong media owner relationships, as well as holding relationships with high level stakeholders within Essence and with the client.

    Oversee and quality assure all deliverables produced by junior team members, particularly ensuring the high quality delivery of campaigns, and accurate and insightful post campaign reporting and learnings.


    • Focus on managing multiple campaigns across the account, being able to look at the bigger picture and problem solve accordingly.
    • Take responsibility for campaign performance against intended outcomes and delivering the PRF
    • Develop and deliver exceptional channel strategies that align to client objectives and the commercial obligations of the agency, planning campaigns with knowledge of the market and AV best practice in mind
    • Set the standard and line manage a direct report, supporting a wider team with career development and Essential satisfaction
    • Be the main point of contact for training within the team, upskilling more junior team members and sharing your broad AV knowledge
    • Work with the Senior Associate Director and Business Director to develop AV best practice strategies and broader thought pieces around AV topics
    Proven experience in TV, either at Manager or Junior Director level, minimum 6 years

    • Proven management experience of at least 3 team members
    • Strong skills in all basic Office programmes (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
    • Excellent organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to quality control work.
    • Ability to adhere to deadlines and project manage multiple campaigns.
    • Proven problem solving and ability to think outside the box for creative solutions
    • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills

    • Direct line management of at least 3 team members, with additional oversight of a wider team
    • Inspire and motivate a team, leading by example while coaching juniors
    • Understand when to escalate issues to senior team members
