We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Care of Elderly doctor to work with us at
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust in William Harvey Hospital.


We are looking for a dedicated doctors ready to work in a Trust striving to make patient experiences better than ever.

Shift patterns: 08:00-20:00 Monday-Friday on-going, part-time hours also available

Hours per week: 20-50 hours available

Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts

Rate of pay per hour: £100-£120 per hour depending on experience

You are responsible for the quick diagnosis, management, and non-surgical treatment of various illnesses.

With vast medical knowledge at your disposal, you could find yourself working with any patient, regardless of age, gender, and background.


As a medicine doctor, you can expect to:


  • Identify and diagnose conditions
  • Recommend the appropriate treatments
  • Refer patients for more specialist treatment
  • Coordinate closely with other doctors and emergency staff
  • Relay complex information clearly and concisely to patients


It's important that you have a generalist mindset and are prepared to work flexibly in a number of complex ways.

You will often be the first point of contact for many new patients entering the hospital, so you will need to be able to adapt and treat new patients quickly.

Essentially, your role will be that of a problem-solver: quickly identifying and resolving medical conditions with the right courses of action.


Requirements:


Doctors Direct recruit to the highest of NHS standards and all applicants for this role should meet pre-screening requirements before applying.


  • Valid GMC
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Will be required to provide at least 2 referees
  • Minimum of 3 months paid experience in the NHS/UK

This role would be predominantly based in William Harvey Hospital with the opportunity to work extra shifts across the Trusts' other sites and any of our partner Trusts.
