    We have an exciting opportunity for a seconded Band 6 role within our friendly trauma orthopaedic team on Fountains will be a 12 month fixed term post.

    We have a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team who pride themselves on providing the highest quality patient focused care.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients in the ward.
  • Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the ward.
  • Contribute to managing the nursing and material resources of the ward in a flexible and cost-effective way.
  • Support the Ward Manager.
  • Act as a role model and lead with honesty and integrity
  • Support student nurses and junior staff

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • NMC registered.
  • Desirable

  • A Degree in related field.
  • Foundation Management / Leadership training.
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Experience in acute surgical/orthopaedic nursing
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Desirable

  • 2 years working as Senior Staff Nurse
  • Demonstrable level of competence
  • Experience in Change management
