    The Vacancy

    RSK ADAS is seeking a highly motivated Associate Director or a Director to join our team on a full-time , permanent basis. This hybrid working opportunity is based in Manchester and would ideally suit someone who has a solid experience in Landscape consultancy , however we will also consider applicants from other backgrounds, including the public sector.

    The successful candidate will join a team of Landscape professionals who work closely with colleagues in other disciplines across ADAS and RSK, such as Urban Design, Land Development, Ecology, Landscape and Archaeology.

    Our Landscape team is well established and has an outstanding track record and reputation for offering quality landscape advice to clients and acting on behalf of local authorities. Our landscape team is growing in response to workload and new projects from a range of clients across various sectors including residential, renewable energy, infrastructure projects, rural diversification, commercial and leisure.     Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a busy team of Landscape Consultants working on projects nationwide
  • Acting as Project Manager for a mix of projects for both internal and external clients
  • Writing and contributing to LVIAs / TVIAs to support a wide range of projects typically in the renewables, commercial, residential, leisure and transport sectors
  • Inputting into landscape masterplans and landscape and ecological management plans
  • Public speaking, including at planning committees and public consultation events, where required
  • Carrying out sales and business development activities including drafting proposals, tenders, meeting potential and existing clients and working on sales initiatives
  • Person Specification

  • Relevant years' post qualification experience
  • Full driving licence is essential
  • Flexibility with regard to type of work, timing and location
  • A degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline
  • Be a Chartered Member of The Landscape Institute (CMLI)
  • Relevant experience preferably within the private sector.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
