About The Role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for an organised and analytical Supply Chain Assistant (Outbound) to join our supply chain team in Peterborough, reporting to the Head of Supply Chain.

You will be responsible for acting as a liaison between AMT Supply chain, warehouse function, hauliers and Tesco depots. Overseeing the delivery of product from AMK Peterborough on to our Tesco depot. You will also be a support for the team by gathering data and preparing reports for the department.

Key responsibilities will include:

Continually deliver and develop effective communication with our hauliers, Tesco Primary, service providers and all departments within AMT to exceed service expectations.
Deliver produce efficiently, punctually to meet AMT, AM Fresh Group and Stakeholder needs
Manage a cost effective operation
Ensure accurate and up to data administration functions
Maintain a culture that thrives on high performance and recognition
Continually drive and develop a selfsufficient team and yourself
Work alongside Supply Chain and Logistics team members to keep them informed of necessary departmental, supplier, service provision, developments and needs, critical business information
Support and as appropriate, challenge management with regards to the department's strategy, best practice and development
Work in collaboration with all departments to ensure effective communications
Communicate daily with hauliers and Tesco Primary where applicable
Ensure a continuous knowledge of the industry and AMT developments.

AMT is a growing business at our new state-of-the-art chilled food facility in Peterborough dedicated to packing a range of imported fresh products for Tesco.

We are proud to have supported Tesco in their Citrus, Grape and other fresh fruit for a number of years and this new facility and partnership takes this relationship further, expanding our product range with Tesco into vegetables.
