    Description
    We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to work for a manufacturing company in Leicester.


    Job Summary:
    Manages all suppliers for the company maintains all regulations and requirements, updating supplier database with supplier performance scorecard. Able to identify new suppliers for current single source products. Able to assess new supplier samples for business projects. reviewing guidelines for product assembly and ensuring all materials and resources are available.

    This process may also involve sourcing materials and choosing between multiple vendor options, ensuring best quality and service is received and best value is attained.


    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for selecting suppliers, monitoring supplier performance, developing a good supplier base, maintaining a good supplier relationship. Traffic light risk register
    • New Product Introduction in the supply chain. You will work closely with a multi-functional team to try to avoid failures, issues and unnecessary costs.
    • Ensuring compliance of products and project related documentation within the UK Supply Quality Organization and ensures adherence to Company procedures/work instructions/specifications

    Skills, Qualification and Experience:

    • Must have a solid understanding of engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical) and manufacturing processes
    • Knowledge of Quality Systems and Measure Tools and techniques.
    • Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree preferred, or HNC, or equivalent NVQ level 4 qualification.
