    We are currently working for a Major UK Main Contractor & Developer. The group has a turnover of over £600 Million across the UK.

    Over the last 20+ years they have built partnering relationships and have substantial order book and a large pipeline for upcoming projects across the UK. We are working for the business unit that specialises in New Build projects and works across London and the South.

    They work on a mixture of new build and refurbishment schemes for private & public sector, local authority, and housing associations.

    Types of schemes include residential, education, regeneration, student accommodation, leisure, Retirement Living and extra care.

    Site Manager

    This is a Student Accommodation project consisting of 600+ student rooms.

    We are currently seeking a Site Manager for the project and someone that will manage am internal section of the scheme and taking it from 1st fix through to completion.

    This individual will report into the Project Manager and Project Director and this major project is in Southeast London

    Types of individuals that they are looking for:

    They are looking for experienced Construction, Site Manager or Section Managers with student accommodation or residential experience. This is well balanced team consisting of mature and capable individuals that are looking for people that want to take ownership and responsibility for their work.

    What are the essentials for this role?

    • Leadership and Management Skills
    • A strong track record in managing residential or Student Accommodation projects - We will look at individuals that have worked for tier 1 or 2 main contractors or Developers.
    • Experience managing the internal elements or managing a block for a project – You will need to understand the process of taking a unit from 1st fix through to completion.
    • Team player – Someone that is approachable, confident, and driven.
    • Attention to detail & Quality driven – We need individuals that will complete and deliver these flats and townhouses to a high quality and without defects.
    • Good Communication Skills – Your role will involve liaising and managing the team, subcontractors onsite, in meetings, by phone and email regarding timings, work required, materials etc. You will also need to communicate with Senior management to provide updates, request resources etc.
    • Organisation skills – ensuring daily site diaries are completed, managing site paperwork such permits to work, ensuring compliance with RAMs
