Our client, one of the top vegetable import businesses in London, is looking for a Sales Agent to be part of their growing team.

They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Sales Agent who speaks South Asian languages, fluent in Tamil language being one of them.

They are looking for someone who can contribute to their mission of providing quality and fresh vegetables to their customers.

As a Sales Agent, you must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and dedication to assist, work hard and be passionate about the day-to-day logistics of the business, and be able to successfully sell vegetables and Groceries to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the delivery driver in loading and unloading imported vegetables and grocery items onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to maintain produce quality.
Help secure and organise the logistics to prevent damage during transportation.
Communicate effectively with the customers and stakeholders, using your fluency in South Indian languages, to facilitate efficient delivery.
You are responsible for add on selling of vegetable and groceries to our clients.
Assist in route planning and navigation using maps and GPS devices, ensuring timely deliveries.
Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries, answering their questions and addressing any concerns in Tamil or other South Indian languages.
Handle paperwork and documentation related to deliveries, such as invoices and delivery confirmations.
Report any issues or discrepancies with deliveries to the driver and the supervisor.
Maintain a clean and organised delivery vehicle interior.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

Fluent in South Indian languages, particularly Tamil, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Degreelevel education or previous experience as a Drivers Mate, or Sales Agent or in a similar role would be advantageous.
South Asian product knowledge as well as import experience
Basic understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
Physical fitness and the ability to handle lifting and moving heavy items.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
