This is an opportunity to work in a leading department of Asian Studies as a Research Associate with Professor Hugo Dobson, and his wider team of collaborators, on a range of projects focused on Japanese politics and international relations.

- engage in ongoing research on political leadership in Japan as well as Japan's role in G7 and G20 summits, while advancing their own programme of research;
- benefit from supervision by Professor Dobson, as well as a suite of methodological training and other career development opportunities;
- build a strong academic and non-academic network to help ensure sustained research and impact in the field, in collaboration with Professor Dobson and his wider network of academic and non-academic partners;
- engage actively in the intellectual life of a community of scholars committed to excellence in research and impact in the School of East Asian Studies, the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, and the wider University.
