What do you need?
Applicants must hold
5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).

It's a chance to work towards a level 4 Construction Design & Build Technician Apprenticeship Standard& HNC Construction whilst gaining experience in a relevant environment, you'll get hands on experience 4 days a week and spend 1 day at London South BankUniversity a week gaining the theoretical background to your qualification.

As a Digital Engineer you will acquire the following expertise and be trained on:

  • Wastewater systems & how they work.
  • Software for the development of models & water quality modelling.
  • How we treat our wastewater and put back into the environment
  • Gravity, trickling and pumped systems
The training will be sufficient for you to attain Tech Eng / IEng CIWEM status.

As part of this role you will also be given training and insight to IAM principles providing you with the breadth of knowledge & skills to extend out Modelling into wider AssetManagement principles.


What's in it for you?
This role is based in Reading. The starting salary will be from £20,000 with a yearly pay review and full studies funded by Thames Water. You'll also receive 24 days holiday, pension and other benefits. Travel costs are covered for travel to and from your universitystudies.
