    Description
    MANE are currently recruiting for Production Welders for our market-leading Manufacturing company based in Dunstable.

    As a TIG Welder you will be required to manufacture and weld various assemblies to fine tolerances (.5 mm) using recognised trade skills under the supervision of a Team Leader.

    To produce quality finished components to drawings and routing requirements that meet Aerospace standards.

    Core Responsibilities

    To work to drawing and route cards requirements
    To obtain and maintain Operator verification approval stamps
    To work efficiently within agreed standards
    To assist in introducing new techniques and improved methods of working where possible
    To be responsible for general housekeeping and tidiness on the shop
    To bring forward ideas to improve and reduce costs in production where possible
    To be conversant with all relevant AWPS and operating procedures used on the above job description
    To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates where required
    Flexible attitude towards work/teamwork

    Role Specifications


    Experience and Skills:

    Required:
    Ability to read and understand and engineering drawings
    Ability to read weld data cards and work to the specification
    Ability to reach given targets and assist others in achieving goals
    Ability to follow all company procedures and specifications
    Ability to work to verbal and written instructions
    Proven ability to work effectively as a team member
    Ability to operate a welding chamber ( Glove Box)
    Ability to operate a turntable controlled with a foot pedal
    Ability to read measuring equipment
    Experience with Titanium, Inconel & stainless steel


    Desirable:
    Experience working in the aerospace industry
    Operator verification experience


    Education:

    Time served apprenticeship or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectation.


    Shift Pattern:
    4- day week running Mon-Thurs 3.45pm-1.30am
    2-3 months training on 4 day week initially DOE - Mon-Thurs
