We are working with one of the UK's leading construction businesses.

We are currently looking for a Commissioning Team Leader to deliver commissioning scope within significant construction projects undertaken by the business.

As Commissioning Team Leader, you will lead the commissioning team through the lifecycle to deliver safe and effective commissioning, ensuring all project elements are operating per capacity, proper usage, and requirements.


Responsibilities include:


  • Uphold and promote a strong culture of safety during all commissioning activities.
  • Identification of resource requirements for commissioining process
  • Delivering the commissioning work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and costeffective manner.
  • Reviewing commissioning progress and performance identifying and addressing issues by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Planning, balancing and prioritizing commissioning resources to support successful delivery.
  • Delivering fit for purpose work in a safe manner to meet or better the project start up, baseline cost, schedule and quality requirements.
  • Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure that commissioning activities adhere to industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Ensuring the relevant project risks are identified and managed/mitigated as appropriate. This includes regular monitoring of the residual risks.
  • Managing the resource, schedule and cost to support delivery
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and best practices within the commissioning process.

About you

  • HNC or equivalent Level 4 qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or Incorporated Engineer status
  • Experience in managing an engineering or technical group delivering technical packages with demonstrable evidence of success
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multidisciplined teams
